What is Private Medicine?

Private medicine, sometimes called “concierge” medicine, is a new and better way of delivering health care to patients by eliminating the influences that distort and dilute the doctor-patient relationship.

There’s a problem with our health care system.

You’ve known it for years. There’s something wrong with the way that we’ve been getting our health care.

We wait too long for visits that are way too short with our doctors.

We spend hours in the doctor’s office to accomplish things that could easily have been handled in minutes by phone or email.

We wait until we’re sick and debilitated before we attend to our health rather than preventing illness.

What’s wrong? Why, in the most technologically advanced health care system in the world, do we accept the fact that 1 out of 3 of us will drop dead of a heart attack when heart attacks and strokes can be prevented?

The problem is that we have allowed other interests (insurance companies and Medicare) to hijack the doctor-patient relationship. The result is medical care that doesn’t really make sense to patients… or their doctors.

Private medicine is the solution.
