Signs of Real Risk
Many of the true warning signs of cardiovascular disease are silent. However, there are indicators that suggest you should seek advanced screening.
Family history of heart disease or stroke
High blood pressure (even if controlled with medication)
Elevated LDL particle count (not just total cholesterol)
Metabolic syndrome or insulin resistance
Elevated C-reactive protein (CRP)
Elevated lipoprotein(a) — Lp(a)
Erectile dysfunction (an early vascular warning sign)
History of preeclampsia or gestational diabetes
Autoimmune conditions (lupus, rheumatoid arthritis)
Chronic stress or sleep apnea
Sedentary lifestyle
Smoking history (current or former)
Don't Wait for Symptoms
The first symptom of heart disease is often a heart attack itself. By the time you feel chest pain, arterial blockage may already be severe. Advanced imaging can detect disease decades before symptoms appear, giving you the opportunity to take action while prevention is still possible.
If any of the above risk factors apply to you, we encourage you to schedule a comprehensive cardiovascular assessment.
